Heavyweight Linen Curtains with an Impeccable Drape

A curtain’s beauty is revealed in its drape. The Venetian collection is crafted from heavyweight linen with a high GSM (a term for fabric density), which gives it a substantial and luxurious feel. This exceptional weight ensures an elegant, full-bodied drape from the moment they are hung.

Because of the weight, they naturally fall into elegant folds without you having to constantly adjust them. It gives your room the instant "finished" architectural look of a professionally styled interior.

Custom Size Linen Curtains (So You Can Ditch the 'Close Enough' Look)

Achieving a flawless drape can be challenging with standard sizes. Our curtains are made to your exact measurements, ensuring a graceful, floor-to-ceiling finish that elevates your space.

These are custom size linen curtains made to your exact specs. Want floor-to-ceiling drama? You got it. Need a specific width for extra-wide sliders? Done. Whether you choose a modern Grommet or a classic Pinch Pleat, you get a tailored fit that looks like it was made specifically for your home—because it was.

The Texture You Want Without the Wrinkle Nightmare

We love the organic texture of 100% linen, but know that keeping it wrinkle-free can be a challenge. That's why the Venetian collection uses a specialized linen blend. You get that rich, organic texture and earthy warmth, but with performance fibers that keep the fabric smooth and durable.

It's the best of both worlds: the high-end aesthetic of natural flax with the durability to survive real life. To maintain the premium texture and structural integrity, these curtains are dry clean only. Plus, the textured weave adds a subtle thermal barrier, helping dampen noise and keep your room cozy.

Privacy That Doesn't Feel Like a Dungeon

Getting privacy usually means sacrificing sunlight, but not with these. As light filtering linen curtains, they hit the sweet spot. They diffuse harsh UV rays into a soft, warm glow that makes your furniture look great, while still blocking the view from the street.

Need 100% blackout for a movie room or nursery? You can achieve total darkness by adding our 100% blackout lining during the customization process. For living rooms and dining spaces, the unlined weave lets the perfect amount of "golden hour" light filter through.

FAQ

Why buy a linen blend instead of 100% linen?

Durability and sanity. Pure linen wrinkles aggressively and can be flimsy. Our Venetian blend gives you the heavyweight texture and expensive look of linen, but it hangs better, resists wrinkles, and lasts longer. It's low-maintenance luxury.

Can my neighbors see through these at night?

Not at all. These curtains offer excellent privacy. While they allow soft light to filter through during the day, the heavyweight weave ensures total privacy from the outside. To achieve a 100% blackout effect for total light control, you must select the 100% Blackout Lining option during the customization process.

Is the price for one panel or a pair (two panels)?

The price shown is for one curtain panel. For a typical window with a balanced look, you may want to order two panels (quantity 2).

When entering Panel Width, should I input total coverage width or one panel width?

On the product page, the Panel Width you select/enter is the finished size per panel.

  • Per-panel width = (rod width × fullness) ÷ number of panels
  • Use the Size Guide on the product page to calculate step-by-step.
  • If you’d like help, email support@thehues.com with your product link and measurements.
My rod/window width is X—how many panels do I need and what width should each panel be?

The Panel Width/Length you enter on the product page is the finished size per panel.

  • Per-panel width = (rod width × fullness) ÷ number of panels
  • Example: 100" rod width × 1.5 fullness ÷ 2 panels = 75" per panel.
  • Click the Size Guide on the product page for a step-by-step calculator, or contact support for help.
Curtains need fullness—how much extra width should I add?

Different Header Styles correspond to different recommended fullness ratios.

  • Select your header first to see the recommended fullness in the Size Guide/selection area.
  • Our system will use this to calculate or suggest the best size for you.
  • Or, feel free to consult customer service for help.
Should I add extra length for puddling? What if I don’t have room for it?

Yes. You can choose Hover (about 1" above the floor for a clean look) or Puddle (about 3" onto the floor for a more dramatic look). In the product Size Guide, select the finish you want and it will automatically adjust from your floor measurement.

My required width/length isn’t listed (extra wide/long). Can you customize?

Yes. This custom curtain listing supports per-panel width/length starting at 20" and going up to 200". If you can’t select your size, email support@thehues.com and we’ll help you plan the right split/join solution.

My space has different opening sizes (e.g., sunroom/L-shape). How should I split and place the order?

For complex layouts (sunrooms, L-shapes, multiple openings), measure each opening separately and place separate line items as needed. Start with the Curtain Measurement Guide, then email support@thehues.com with a sketch/photos and each opening’s measurements for a tailored recommendation.

What is a Header Style, and which one should I choose?

A header style is the top construction of the curtain—how it’s made and how it attaches to your rod or track.

  • Rod vs. track: match the header to your hardware.
  • Look: flat vs. pleated vs. wave, etc.
  • Use: frequent opening/closing often benefits from smoother track-friendly headers.

If you’re unsure, start with the Header Style Guide and match it to your setup.

I have an existing track—what header style should I choose?

If you’re using a track, choose a header that works with gliders/hooks (e.g., Pinch Pleat, Euro Pleat, Goblet, Inverted Box Pleat, or Pleat Hook).

Please review the Header Style Guide and confirm supported options under Compatible Header Types on Heavy Duty Metal Custom Curtain Track.

Should I use a track or a rod (especially for tall/heavy drapes)?

There isn’t a "one-size-fits-all" answer—it depends on weight, span, mounting location, and usage frequency. You can find specific load capacity information for reference on TheHues' Track and Rod product pages. For heavy drapes or extra-tall windows, we recommend prioritizing tracks with a load rating that matches your needs.

I received my curtains but can’t find the right hardware to hang them—what should I do?

Start by checking your header style:

  • Grommet / Back Tab / Rod Pocket: slides directly onto a rod—no extra hardware needed.
  • Pleated / Pleat Hook styles: we include the appropriate hooks based on your selection.
  • Roman Rings / Clip Rings: rings/clips are typically purchased separately to match your rod diameter.

If you’re unsure or think something is missing, email support@thehues.com with your order number and photos.

Do the curtains include S hooks/pinch pleat hooks, or do I need to purchase them separately?

It depends on the header you choose:

  • Grommet / Back Tab / Rod Pocket: no hooks needed—slides directly onto a rod.
  • Pleated / Pleat Hook styles: we include the appropriate hooks based on your selection.
  • Roman Rings / Clip Rings: rings/clips are typically purchased separately to match your rod diameter.

To confirm hardware for a specific SKU, email support@thehues.com with the product link or your order number.

How many clip hooks do I need (based on width/fullness)?

If you selected a pleated header, the Header Styles page lists pleat counts by finished width (for example: 50" = 8 pleats, 72" = 11, 84" = 13, 100" = 16, 120" = 19, 150" = 25). This typically corresponds to the number of hook points. For non-pleated clip setups, we do not publish a single formula—email support@thehues.com with your finished width and header style.

Will my rod diameter fit your grommets/loops?

Rod Pocket works best with rods ≤ 1.25" diameter. For Grommet, the internal diameter is about 1.56" and it pairs best with a 1.5" rod. Always confirm against the header option you select.

Can the curtains be ceiling-mounted? Do you sell ceiling tracks?

Yes. The heavy-duty track supports ceiling or wall mounting, and the set includes ceiling mounting brackets and hardware. See Heavy Duty Metal Custom Curtain Track.

Is it 100% blackout? How effective is the thermal insulation?

Full blackout depends on the product and the lining you choose:

  • 100% Blackout products can achieve full blackout when installed properly with minimal gaps.
  • For most other curtains (excluding sheer/light-filtering styles), selecting a 100% Blackout Liner can dramatically increase light blocking.
  • Thermal insulation also depends on fabric thickness and lining—thermal/blackout fabrics or added liners typically provide better insulation.
What’s the difference between Same Fabric Liner and Comparable Color Liner?

Same Fabric Liner: the lining is made from the same fabric as the front, for a more consistent look from both sides (except the header area).

Comparable Color Liner: the lining uses a polyester fabric in a close-matching color for coordinated appearance and value.

Can you make pinch pleats (e.g., double/triple pleats)?

Yes. The guides list multiple pleated options such as Double/Triple French Pinch Pleat, Euro Pleat, Goblet, and Inverted Box Pleat. Availability depends on the header styles offered on your product page. See Measurement Guide and Header Styles.

Can you do grommets at both top and bottom (cafe curtains)?

Yes—grommets on both the top and bottom can be done as a special custom request.

Please email support@thehues.com before ordering with the product link, measurements, and how you want it to function so we can confirm the best approach.

Can I change/customize the lining color (e.g., gray to ivory)?

Yes—please contact support before ordering. If a matching lining fabric is available, we can customize the lining color as a special request.

This may involve an additional cost and/or extended lead time. Email support@thehues.com with your product link and desired lining color (ideally with a reference photo).

Can you make blackout/soundproof curtains with the same color on both sides?

Yes:

  • For the same fabric and color on both sides (except the header area), choose Same Fabric Liner.
  • For a close-matching polyester lining, choose Comparable Color Liner. An exact match across different fabrics may not always be possible—contact support to confirm before ordering.
Can I order swatches? How do I order them?

Yes. Order directly from Curtain Swatches: select your fabrics/colors and add them to cart.

Limits and shipping/fees follow the latest information shown on the swatch page.

Will swatch fees/shipping be credited or refunded with a full order?

Whether swatch shipping/fees can be credited toward a full order may vary by promotion.

Please email support@thehues.com to confirm the current rule before placing your full order.

I can’t find the swatch option for a specific color/product—what should I do?

Please email support@thehues.com with the product link and color name, and we’ll help confirm the matching swatch (or the closest available option).

Can I buy fabric by the yard? What’s the price per yard?

The website does not provide a public fabric by the yard listing or price list. If you need fabric for a project, please email support@thehues.com with the fabric name, intended use, and quantity needed.

Are tiebacks included or sold separately?

It varies by product—please follow the options shown on your curtain’s product page. Many curtain listings let you select tiebacks (for example Free Tiebacks / Matching Tiebacks), which will show in your order/price. If you want tiebacks separately, you can purchase them from Accessories.
